Day 1- Course Structure

The order you learn things is critical to how they will be stored and recalled. Structure online courses in ways that do not jumble and confuse the way your content is delivered.

Discuss course structures
Discuss topic components
Create one primary objective
Use a weekly/module template

Day 2-Combination Activities
From William James and John Dewy through to Kolb and Schank, theory shows that we learn by doing, yet a lot of teaching centers around a knowledge and not skills, model. Create activities that will benefit students through experiential learning.

Discuss Do Activities
Discuss a Connect Activities
Create one combination absorb, do and connect activity

Day 3- Authentic Assessment
Authentic assessment enables students develop the skills, knowledge and capacity to transfer their learning to a range of situations in their professional world. Use authentic assessment to enhance learning and be an integral part of the learning and teaching process.

Discuss Authentic Tasks
Discuss scoring guides/rubrics
Create an Authentic Task and scoring guide/rubric
Create a title, introduction, summary and links for a topic

Day 4- Capstone Presentations
Present a topic with 7 components
